There is more to being a successful lawyer than technical excellence. Our Core Skills programme will give you the edge you need to succeed in a today’s competitive market.

This programme will develop your skills in business including sales and marketing, management, technology, client service, and leadership. We will help you build your profile, develop your networks, and your relationships with clients, all of which will help you take your career to the next level.

Legal excellence

Knowledge across multiple practice areas means we deliver the best commercial advice to our clients, and provides opportunities for our people to grow their business acumen. To ensure you are kept up-to-date in specialist areas of law our Legal Excellence programme offers regular education on all practice areas. Whether you work in a specialist area or just want to develop a wider knowledge, you are encouraged to participate.

The Graduate programme of 22 modules ensures that new entrants quickly gain a solid understanding of our business products and services, and their contribution.


You will expect the best technology, databases, and access to information. We continue to invest in technology. Recent and planned investments include a national telephone system for improved accessibility and responsiveness, and a financial management system for you to track your client work, and monitor your contribution.

Our Fit for Success programme, focusing on body, mind, and money is about learning from others in the community who know what it takes to succeed. The programme offers a variety of activities that help build strong, confident people, and unified teams.

Our people take pride in their contribution to the community and the environment. Partners and staff are encouraged to actively participate in our pro bono  programme giving their time and experience to help community initiatives for the disadvantaged, the environment, and social/cultural initiatives.
