What we look for

Your success is our success.

The people we look for want to test just how far their abilities will take them. Your enthusiasm, confidence and can-do attitude will be called upon throughout the summer.

You'll need to be a person who does what you say you'll do and be willing to help others. Individuality is prized just as much as willingness to collaborate or take responsibility.

You are likely to be in your final or penultimate year of your law degree.

You will probably have a record of work experience (paid or voluntary), team involvement, great academic grades, and have experienced challenges and successes both academically and in employment. Knowledge and involvement in Chinese business and fluency in Mandarin would be valued.

We work hard to offer summer clerks a great environment for working and learning, and we will expect you to add value to the team.

Though there have been challenges my colleagues have been supportive and it’s obvious that the firm genuinely wants the clerks to have a good experience. I really appreciate that we are given ‘real’ work to complete, and this has provided me with a valuable insight as to what it would be like to work here after graduation.
